Cflox Power Injection by Intas Animal Health (Neovet Division) is a prescription-only, broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic injection formulated for veterinary use across a wide range of animal species. Each millilitre delivers Ciprofloxacin IP 100 mg as Ciprofloxacin Lactate, targeting acute and life-threatening bacterial infections that demand rapid, reliable, and systemically distributed antimicrobial action. Designed for use in cattle, buffalo, calves, dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, goats, and other companion animals, Cflox Power addresses some of the most clinically serious infectious conditions encountered in veterinary practice including Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS), bacterial pneumonia, Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP), Contagious Caprine Pleuropneumonia (CCPP), mastitis, metritis, pyometra, and repeat breeding syndrome rooted in reproductive tract infections. Its injectable format ensures predictable systemic bioavailability regardless of gastrointestinal absorption variability, making it a decisive first-line choice for critical or hospitalised patients where oral therapy may be insufficient or impractical.

Ingredients & Key Actives

Ciprofloxacin Lactate equivalent to Ciprofloxacin IP100 mg/ml:Ciprofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that belongs to the quinolone class of antimicrobials. Its bactericidal mechanism of action is uniquely targeted at two essential bacterial enzymes: DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV both of which are indispensable for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.

Benzyl Alcohol IP 1.5% v/v (as preservative): Benzyl Alcohol is included in the multi-dose vial formulation as a bacteriostatic preservative to maintain the sterility of the solution across multiple draws from the same vial. It prevents microbial contamination of the injection solution between doses and maintains the chemical stability of the Ciprofloxacin Lactate active across the vial's in-use period.

Water for Injections IP q.s.: Pharmaceutical-grade sterile water serves as the aqueous carrier vehicle, formulated to the highest pharmacopoeial standards for injectable preparations, ensuring isotonicity and pH compatibility for intramuscular and intravenous administration.
