Cresp 40mcg Injection, a Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. product, is a frequently prescribed erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) used to treat anaemia, especially in patients receiving chemotherapy or those with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The active ingredient, Darbepoetin alfa, is a hyperglycosylated synthetic form of erythropoietin (EPO) that stimulates red blood cell production by binding to EPO receptors on haematopoietic cells, resulting in the survival, differentiation, proliferation, and maturation of red blood cells.  Cresp is supplied in sterile, preservative-free, non-pyrogenic single-dose vials and pre-filled syringes, with the 40mcg vial being one of the most commonly prescribed doses for anaemia management in adult patients with CKD and chemotherapy-induced anaemia.
