These dermatology topicals deliver actives right where they’re needed for localized bacterial or fungal skin infections. The occlusive ointment base forms a protective film that helps medication stay in place and shields the lesion from dirt and moisture.

How it works (simple science)

• Antibacterial active (per label) (e.g., mupirocin or fusidic acid) → reduces susceptible bacteria on the lesion.

• Antifungal (if included) (e.g., an imidazole) → targets susceptible yeasts/dermatophytes.

• Derm-grade emollient base → creates a protective, moisture-sealing layer, reducing friction and contamination.
