How it works (simple science)

  • Beta-lactam antibiotic: blocks bacterial cell-wall synthesis → bacteria can’t grow/divide.

  • Prodrug becomes active cefpodoxime after absorption—once daily dosing supports compliance.

  • Dispersible tablet can be dissolved as your vet directs; may be given with food to reduce tummy upset.
